Fink Residence

Jupiter Inlet Colony

It was a true journey that this couple unknowingly embarked on in order to build their perfect beachfront home. The vision from the beginning was a neighborhood house near their children and grandchildren where everyone could gather and enjoy elevated beachside living.

Every project has its challenges but this residence more than any before it. Previous attempts to build on this lot resulted in a site with a foundation already in place. This condition, along with the client’s vision and the engineering requirements of coastal construction were each considered in the formula of this home. Sadly just a week from completion, a series of storms culminated in a devastating erosion of the entire backyard and beach. Suspended over the oceans edge, this home was immediately put to the test and made headlines in national news. Ultimately, the planning and construction techniques kept the home itself intact and ready for a successful move-in shortly thereafter.
